Avengers STATION

Information Courtesy of Matt & Brandy from We Know Vegas.

Located inside Treasure Island Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, Avengers STATION just opened the week we arrived. Going through Avengers STATION was not on our list, but our hotel room was not yet ready on the day we arrived in Las Vegas, so we took a quick walk and found the attraction.

It is located at the north entrance of Treasure Island adjacent to the pedestrian bridge connecting the shopping mall. This two story attraction has a small gift shop at it's entrance and it had just opened the week in which we arrived, so they were still working out some techical issues (none of which effected our experience).

The price for admission was a little high based upon what you get, so make sure to look for discounts and coupons before you attend. Fortunately, they were offering 2-1 coupons right outside the door, but it still cost $100 for four of us to enter. Had we paid full price, then we would have been disappointed.

You need to have either a smart phone that can download apps or an extra $5 to rent theirs. They recommend you rent as the interactive app you use wears down your battery. One person in our group used their phone and had no battery issue.

Once you have your smart device, you load up into an elevator and start your adventure. You wear earphones that you listen to as you learn more about the different characters of Marvel's Avengers. Here are a few of the list of rooms you will enter and characters you will learn more about: Captain America, Bruce Banner (HULK), Hawkeye, Black Widow, Ant-Man and Iron Man. At the end of each room you answer questions about what you learned on your smart device.

As you move from room to room, you learn about them, their technology and interact with them on your smart device. There are lots of effects, lights, noises and interesting costumes, helmets and weapons. The best way to sum it up is that is an interactive musuem for the Avengers more than an attraction.

In our group, we had one die-hard Avengers fan, specifically Iron Man. So they had the best time and said it was the highlight of their Vegas trip. So, if you enjoy Marvel's Avengers, then this is the place for you. The whole experience took about an hour, but you go at your own pace.

Here's why you would want to go:

  • You love Marvel's Avengers and the characters.

  • You enjoy trivia about the Avengers.

  • You enjoy musuems.

Here's why you would not want to go:

  • You don't follow the Avengers.

  • You don't like musuems.

  • Bright lights, noise and music bother you.
