The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

Over the last several years we'd visit The Cosmopolitan, but we'd never stayed there. For a long time we were hoping this would change because the property is so appealing to us as Las Vegas travelers. We are so happy that this recent trip we had the privilege to stay at this amazing property!

First, The Cosmopolitan sits right in the middle of the Strip and it's central location is a lot of it's appeal to many visitors to Las Vegas. When you stay here, walking to other properties is very convenient. You can be at the Bellagio, Aria, Vdara, Planet Hollywood and Paris Las Vegas within a few steps of the front door.

While we loved so many things about this property, we will start with the rooms. For the most part, it is one of the only hotels on the Las Vegas Strip where you can have a balcony (terrace) as part of your room experience. On their website you can choose from smaller studio suites all the way up to huge suites reserved for the select few. We happened to stay in their Wraparound Terrace Suite (and you should too)!

This suite is the nicest hotel room we've ever stayed in on any Las Vegas trip. In fact, it's on our top 5 list of best hotel rooms ever and we've stayed in some nice resorts around the world. Nonetheless, we loved it. Our Wraparound Terrace suite had a huge living room, full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and a large master bedroom. The balcony sits on the corner of the hotel, so our view was from the Bellagio all the way around to Planet Hollywood (see the video tour below). It was amazing to watch the Bellagio Fountians from our private balcony. Make sure to ask for this same view. It was so nice to take in the view out on our balcony at night to see the Las Vegas Strip as well as morning coffee to watch the sunrise. Simply the best.

The Cosmopolitan has two hotels on their property. One is the East Tower (closest to the Strip) and the West Tower. Both have their own pool and we spent a half day at the Boulevard Pool at the East Tower location (see video about the Boulevard Pool below too). The majority of the restaurants are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the East Tower, so if you have a choice and want to be close to most of the hotel's dining options, then the East Tower is for you. The Spa and Salon is located in the West Tower. Nonetheless, you'll be happy with either Tower on your trip.

They have some amazing restaurants that you'll want to try. Holsteins Shakes and Buns is an amazing restaurant for burgers and shakes. Beauty & Essex is another unique Las Vegas dining experience that is like no other restaurant we've ever been too. You can read more in depth reviews of these restaurants from us. There is also a pizza joint that is not named or recognized on The Cosmopolitan's website or directory. It's referred to as Secret Pizza. We stopped by for a late night snack and it lives up to all the hype. You can find it on the 3rd floor of the East Tower down a long hallway.

We had heard that The Cosmopolitan was mainly for the young/hip crowd, but we did not find that to be the case. Yes, there is a lot at The Cosmopolitan that appeals to a younger crowd, but there is also a lot that middle and late age travelers will enjoy and appreciate. So regardless of your age category, make plans to stay here on a future trip.

The staff was first class from the people at the check-in desk, the casino staff, the food & beverage workers and housekeeping. At every occasion we receive wonderful service that you would expect at a 5-star hotel. So for us, this a the perfect Las Vegas destination. Great location, fun atmosphere, amazing room accommodations and wonderful service.

We could go on and on, so email us if you have specific questions about The Cosmopolitan. This will not be our last visit to The Cosmopolitan and it has become our favorite Las Vegas hotel destination so far. Check out the room rates at the Cosmopolitan.
