Matt first visited this property in 1990, a few months after they opened there doors and since then, we've stayed at the Mirage on 3 different occasions. While this hotel is now 25+ years old, it is still one of our favorites for several reasons.

The Mirage was the first of it's kind in Las Vegas. When built, it was the first 'Mega Resort' in Las Vegas. It was built to last and has held up against the test of time. So if you have never stayed at the Mirage, make plans to as you'll enjoy it's location and it's amenities.

In Vegas, we love to spend time at the pool. The Mirage is tied for first place in this category (along with the Mandalay Bay). There pool area is spacious, well layed out and you feel as if you are in the tropics. For us, there is nothing more fun than sipping Pina Coladas by the pool and the Mirage does this perfectly.

We've always enjoyed our time in the casino at the Mirage. We find the layout very user friendly and even though it is crowded we never feel that way. They have all the popular casino games to chose from and we've always been impressed with their staff each and every time.

On our last hotel stay in 2013, we received one of their newer remodeled rooms and it was very nice. We've never not had a nice room at the Mirage and today they are priced very affordably as compared to their newer neighbors. We usually find their rates about 1/2 the price of what you will find at the Wynn, Palazzo or some of the newer hotels along the Strip.

So in our book, the Mirage works well for us and offers us the things we enjoy most about Las Vegas! Click here to see the best room rates at the Mirage.
