There are two things we've always wanted to do during a Vegas vacation.

 

1) Visit Red Rock Canyon

2) Ride Segways 

 

Segway Las Vegas allowed us to do both at the same time in a fun adventure that we'll treasure forever! 

 

Segway Las Vegas is a full service tour company that offers several different types of tours in and around the Las Vegas area. Check out their website for a full list of their current tours. We were invited to check out the Red Rock Canyon tour on our last trip. What an amazing time! 

 

From beginning to end, the staff and the experience was first class. They picked us up at our hotel about 8:15am and drove us out to Red Rock Canyon about 20 miles outside Las Vegas. Once we got there, they got everything set up and took their time training us on how to ride the Segways safely and comfortably. It took about 10 minutes for us to feel comfortable since it was our first time riding Segways. But once we got the hang of it, we felt like Segway pros! 

 

You're given a helmet and and a wireless earpiece so you can hear your tour guide during the 8 mile ride through Red Rock Canyon. Our tour guides were Chuck and Sean. They were so friendly and knowledgeable, plus they made our trip so much fun the whole time. 

 

The Segways travel at a max speed of 12 mph, but we took it pretty slow so we could take in the beautiful scenery of Red Rock Canyon as we traveled along the asphalt paved trail. About every mile or two we'd stop for pictures and the opportunity to learn more about the canyon. 

 

We never felt unsafe or worried during our tour. Chuck led the way on his Segway and Sean drove behind us in the van to keep us safe from other cars on the scenic loop. It was a unique way to see and explore a beautiful State Park within a short drive from Las Vegas. It was refreshing to leave the glitter and glamour of Las Vegas for a half day and do something so fun. 

 

The riding section of the tour took about 2 hours and we ended with a light snack as they loaded up the Segways before we headed back to our hotel. From start to finish, we had the best time!
