Hold on to your hats and get ready for a fun and unique experience at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. This was something that we had always wanted to try during past visits to Las Vegas, so we did a little research and decided to give it a try on one of our trips in 2015. We are so glad we did!

 

We are both afraid of heights, so the thought of actually jumping out of a plane was out of the question, but we've always wanted to know what it is like to skydive. Vegas Indoor Skydive was the perfect compromise!

 

First, and very important to us, was the staff is very professional and the facility is very modern and safe. We had no worries and felt safe and comfortable the whole time. 

 

It’s located just a few blocks off the Las Vegas Strip. When you walk in and check in, they weigh you and see how tall you are, to make sure they have a suit that will work for you. Everything has to be emptied from your pockets, no jewelry, etc., but they do provide free lockers and locks if you need to use them.

 

Once your class is called, you head upstairs to watch a quick safety video, learn a few hand signals from the instructor and sign a waiver. Then you get your suit on, goggles and helmet!

 

Next it’s time to head into the “fan” room! It’s a padded circle shaped room with an extremely large fan at the bottom. Our instructor was awesome. He did a great job teaching us and then “letting us fly!”. You each get a few times to fly. The first time, they turn the fan off, you lay on your stomach on the floor and they slowly turn the fan on, and with the help of the instructor, up you go. The second and third time, you just jump right in. The instructor is there to help you keep your position if you need it, or to fly along with you!

 

At the end of your time, you can go see and purchase pictures and even a video from your flight. It was really such a fun rush! Remember to leave your jewelry at home and bring your closed toe shoes. Vegas Indoor Skydiving is a must on your next Vegas vacation. Kids love it too!
