ZARKANA by Cirque du Soleil

Matt and I went to see Zarkana a Cirque Du Soleil show located in the Zarkana Theater at Aria and here is what we know!

Would we visit again?

Definitely! Having seen several Cirque du Soleil shows in Vegas and other cities, this was a truly unique experience.

What part of the show did we like best?

Brandy says: They have the most comfortable chairs!

Matt says: Bring your camera so you can take pictures and video.

What you wouldn’t know, unless we told you:

Zarkana was amazing! We arrived to our seats (a cushioned “love seat”) and from the minute we sat down, before the show even started, there were acts all around us. The casts was in the audience, taking pics and joking around with people. It was a great time to get fun pictures!

Once the red curtain lifted and show started, we were captivated! The lights, the stage, the casts, did an amazing job! It was fun to watch and hard to see it all at one time. They have the traditional Cirque du Soleil acts, but this show offered a few performances that we had never seen.

The theater is huge, however regardless of where you sit, you can see and enjoy everything. Twice during the show, the acrobats and actors were literally right above our heads on wires. The show is clever and provides the ultimate in Cirque du Soleil amazement.

One performance that we like a lot was when a woman came out and she had a table that had blue sand on it. There was a camera in the table that showed what she was making on the glass top table. This video was portrayed up on a huge monitor where everyone could see. She would take the sand and start making these amazing images and landscapes just using her hands in the sand. It was unbelievable how many different images and pictures she'd make. This was something we'd never seen!

One thing to keep in mind for this show is to bring a jacket if you are cold natured. You'll want to also get to your seats right when the doors open because the show starts in the aisles as soon as the doors open.

From the aerial strapped flying casts above your heads, to the unbelievable sand painter, to the wheel of death, your breath is taken away! We have been to quite a few Cirque Du Soleil shows and this one did not disappoint!
