Aria Introduces High Tech Tablets in Hotel Rooms

Most all Las Vegas hotels have technology that guest can use through the TV and remote control for certain services, but now hotel guest at Aria have a new gadget, an in-room tablet. With this tablet, guest can do things such as open and close the curtains or order room service, but that's not all.

Aria is installing tablets in 4,000 of their guest rooms which is a very impressive roll out of new technology. Since the tablets are hardware and software, there are certainly additional features that will be added in the future. Here are some of the neat features the tablets will have when they are installed.

Room Controls

Guest will be able to dim the lights, adjust the room temperature and open or close the curtains.

World News

There will be thousands of world-wide publications at your fingertips.

Dining

With the tablet, you will be able to order room service plus you can make reservations at your favorite hotel restaurant.

Multilingual

The tablets will have many preset languages to choose from, including English, Spanish, German, French and Japanese.

Housekeeping

Forget your toothbrush or razor? No worries! You can make basic housekeeping request plus schedule times for turn down service.

In our opinion, this is a welcome addition to the in room experience. We wonder how they will be kept from ending up in people's luggage, but we're sure they have thought that through. We suspect you'll see these types of technology upgrades at other MGM Resort hotels and other properties in Las Vegas.

You've got to love Vegas 2.0!
