Plaza Hotel & Casino Rooftop Pool Review
The Plaza Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas is an icon of classic Las Vegas. Our visit this Summer was the first time we had ever visited the property and it won't be our last. We headed to their rooftop pool located on the 5th floor and were immediately impressed upon arrival. Their pool area was huge!
When we checked in, we had the pleasure of meeting the pool's General Manager Justin Catanese who knows how to run a pool. He's a native, born and raised in Las Vegas and has a tremendous career in the hotel hospitality industry and it shows. His staff is polite, fast and knows how to take care of their guest. You will not be let down by Justin and his amazing staff.
We immediately noticed the pickleball courts (12 of them to be exact) and the tennis court that permanently sits adjacent to the pool area. You also can't ignore the full size food truck that sits poolside too. Justin said he drove it up the 5 floors, but locals remember seeing the food truck hoisted up with a crane.
So once we got to our cabana, we were greeted by our super fun and very pretty server Holdyn. She never missed a beat. Whatever we needed, she came back with in no time. We even forgot to pack our iPhone charger and she found one for us. The bartender mixes some amazing cocktails perfect for a fun day in the sun. Make sure to order the Firework from the daiquiri bar. It’s a patriotic color layer of frozen blueberry lemonade, piña colada and strawberry daiquiri. It is delish!
The pool itself is small in comparison to other Vegas properties, but don't let that deter you from a fun day at their rooftop pool deck. They offer Blackjack tables and one mini-Craps table in the shade that are opened on weekends, plus tons of other fun activities and themed parties. Non-hotel guests receive admission for $10 per person.
Non-hotel guests must be 21 years of age.
Hotel guests and locals with a valid Nevada I.D. receive complimentary admission to the pool.
Towel service will be provided, with tennis court, pickleball courts and equipment rentals also available.
Regular Pool & Hot Tub hours are from 9am – 7pm.
